I checked my junk folder and had recieved a mail from this:

Enea Tare (invite+zrdocghe1oez@facebookmail.com)

First of all i think the name of email and domain is a little bit suspicious, and that it appeared in the junk folder so i assume that the domain is spoofed and not the real facebookmail.com account

however the email was like this:

"Check out my photos on Facebook

Hi,

I set up a Facebook profile where I can post my pictures, videos and events and I want to add you as a friend so you can see it. First, you need to join Facebook! Once you join, you can also create your own profile.

Thanks,
Enea"

and the link "http://www.facebook.com/p.php?i=<some number>&k=<some string>&r"

the first that crossed my mind was that that it was just a spoofed url, so i hovered it and nope, it still goes to the real facebook

my email address is fairly new any no friends know about it so its not any friends that is inviting me

there was no attachments or links to any other sites in the mail, so this left me very curious of what the reason is for these kind of spam mails (its not the first time i recieve it)

anyone got some info regarding this?

It's likely the profile that it takes you to, is either carrying malicious code, or points to malicious websites.
