Now that I've added support for MDL, I thought I'd mention this here too ...... but please note, this application is only in the development stages at the moment, and is only useful for Outlook users (NOT Outlook Express).

I'm also trying to get rid of the damn annoying box that Outlook pops up when it first loads, and periodically after that (lovely security prompt that asks if you want to allow it access to Outlook). Only way of doing this thus far is writing in support to have it act as an add-in, which would kinda defeat the object a little.

Version: 0.0.6

.... and the updates include;

Added: Malware Domain List (malwaredomainlist.com) lookup
Added: IP and IP PTR lookup for senders e-mail address
Added: IP and IP PTR lookup for links
Added: New routine to remove duplicate links

Modified: Re-formatted export
Modified: Re-written routine for hpHosts lookup
Modified: Re-written link extraction routine

Fixed: Minor issue with File > Export

Example of output, along with the new version can be found at;

http://forum.hosts-file.net/viewtopic.php?p=2683#p2683

Still to do ....

1. Add Outlook Express support (proving to be a PITA so will likely not happen any time soon)
2. Speed up export routines
3. Add option for viewing folders as treeview (as in Outlook itself)
4. Add support for checking e-mails and IP's against fspamlist.com DB
5. Add option to have program act as a complete mail filter (ala K9 from Robin Keir)

Note:

This application has been tested using Outlook 2003 ONLY. I am unable to test it on older or newer versions
. It has also only been tested on Windows XP SP2

v0.1.2

Changes:

Added: Save all links from this folder (Researcher) option to context menu (see notes)
Added: Save all links from this folder (Researcher - Simple) option to context menu (see notes)
Added: Save all attachments button to toolbar
Added: Refresh current folder button to toolbar
Added: Refresh current folder to context and edit menu
Added: Index file generated when exporting all attachments from the current folder (see notes)
Added: Received date now saved in file when exporting all links

Modified: Re-organized toolbar

Misc: Other minor modifications

Notes:

I've added an option for researchers to the context and edit menu. This option allows you to create a file with all links in all e-mails in the current folder. The file in in the format;

Subjects
Links
Subjects/Links/PTR details etc etc

If choosing the Researcher - Simple option, only the subjects and links are included. The detailed version is excluded (far quicker for those that don't need the extra information)

Example file:

http://hosts-file.net/misc/outlook_export/links30072008-021551.txt

When exporting attachments from all e-mails in the current folder, an index file is now created. This has been added to allow you to easily identify which attachment(s) belong with which e-mail.
