Has anyone used this successfully? I think it's a nice idea, but it never seems to find anything. Any suggestions/samples that you can recommend to test it out?

...hmm...maybe because it's you haven't read the manual? 

It depends on what you're searching for...for specific crypto algorithms,
there's always x3chun's CryptoSearcher and KANAL...and also:
