I have gotten dozens of these on my sites. I just deleted them, but it seemed pretty clear that it was bogus.

Wait, you have gotten dozens of these on your sites?  Does that mean your web servers or your email boxes?  If it is your web servers you have a bigger issue than just trying to delete them.  Please clarify your statement.
