Anybody knows how this SEO attack is performed ?

Searching(Bing is used) for words like porn or girl on Microsoft Safety and Securiy Center website, a lot of results can be found.

It seems that the search page has been disabled now. Did any of the links actually lead to external pages? I checked with Googles cache and it seems only internal links were displayed so the visitor should be safe. But either way, something did go very very wrong with the search page.
