...well,we need your help here regarding this matter guys...  ::)

Russian is the mother language of quite a few of MDL's visitors...
and well, translation problems should not stand up as a problem around here.
Thereby,we're interested in what you Russian-language speaking people out there think,
about creating specifically a "Russian" subsection here in MDL...
if you're not happy enough with the way things work out currently,
and you think such a section would make you feel more comfortable... ;)

If yes, then feel free to speak of,any ideas are welcomed...and obviously,
your practical suggestions are way more important than voting above...  8)

I have to say that a lot of the problems we have with spam and malware seem to originate in Russia. I would be very interested to hear what Russians have to say about this kind of thing. I have to assume that many of them are victims, not perps.

Mine as well add it, worse case scenario it doesn't get used much, thats the bonus of forums, you can add/delete if it doesn't work out :)

plus html's all the same so even if people don't speak russian they can still see the links :), won't understand anything about them, but can see them

have to have my view of malware, just dive in and goto the link, haven't met anything i couldn't fix yet :)

We have a lot of problems with Russian spammers, including links to malware. I just have to wonder if the people who come on here are trying to help--or trying to find out what measures we are taking to stop them.

Almost all statistics out there show that US has the first place in spamming,at least since 2006...

I'm Russian.

I think that a forum on russian language is not necessary. Many russian webmasters can talk on english (on bad, but comprehensible english :))
Also there are many auto-translators, such as google, translate.ru and others.

All:

FYI, I voted for a Russian section, and yes I have the Cyrillic font set loaded on my machine.  Please do not think that me blocking Russia in my PAC filters wasn't taken without a good deal of thought.  Also, that block of Russia is frequently commented out for myself and I have already had to add one white list rule.  It is just that the count for Russian hosts in your blocking hosts file is really high. China is even higher (just go count them in your file).  Hong Kong is low, but they have the dubious honor of having the highest count of bad hosts in the world by percentage. Those rules exist only if you are not going to those TLDs or live in them. But it isn't by chance that AVG, ClamAV, Avast, Kaspersky (my favorite), and F-Secure are some of the best in the business - they are from that region where much of this stuff but by no means all originates.  Oh yes, I have a sister that has a BA degree in Russian (lives in the US).  Also, many of the people creating the malware are literally just trying to survive.  That is why I said what I said - the Russian government does not condone what is going on.  Neither does the Chinese government.  But they have their priorities, and you still have a problem and so do I. Until conditions improve for these people it will probably continue to be that way.  No filtration solution will be perfect.  Do you want me to change the "your choice" by the Russian block into Cyrillic?  Hey, that's a good idea!  I am sorry, but I don't have the Chinese font sets loaded.  That is not for lack of trying - I couldn't find them (still running Fedora Core 3).  Why fix what isn't broken?  Well, I guess that portion is broken.  Time to move on to Fedora 9.

Достаточно хорош? Да?
