Ive recently done a interview with my local news TV station and took them on a liveby.
This was a tour of my local area with the full intent to show the guliabilty of human nature.
First stop was a church..prime targets for WAN hijacks...then I proceeded to a Wachovia which we wont discuss...server03..idiots!
Point of this post is to tune you in to the fact, this doesnt have to be a net attack, someone like me can easily sit close enough to your church building and do as much if not more damage from a wireless network that is exposed.
First item is the unsecured network...easy pickens and can be found in one of three churchs.
Second item is weak or shared passwords, this is just a pure No-No!
Last item...when they make a router and wireless network that is truely unhackable,Ill be sure to be the first to post it...so far they havent made anything for public use that I can not reverse and then bust into.
Penetration testing is probably more informational than any other research Ive ever been a part of.
Point to Ryan...just because you covered first base doesnt mean home plate is safe.
Be sure to finish your work,I assume since you rebuilt the site, you surely rebuilt the churchs LAN and secured it properly.
I find that too much information is shared amongst the general congregation of churchs, hence making them one of the largest targets for local attack..easy pickens i say.
